delete email from server after uploading email to Outlook?

After uploading email to Outlook from my webmail server, the messages remain
on the server. If I delete the messages from the server, how do I ensure that
the email remains in Outlook and is not delected from Outlook during
Send/Receive?

what type of email account do you use? if pop, they will not be deleted
from outlook; if imap or exchange you'll need to move the messages in
outlook to a new pst if you want them deleted from the server but left in
outlook.

Thanks, Diane. I am using an IMAP account, so I guess the answer is no. What
is a pst? and how do I create one?

it’s a personal message store. Create a new one from file, new, outlook data
file. Create folders in it then move messages you want to save but delete
from the sever into it.
