Delete Emails with Outlook 2000 SP3 & Outlook 2003

I have two workstations both running XP SP2. One of them is running Outlook
2000 SP3 (9.0.0.7308) and the other is running Outlook 2003 (11.5608.5606).
When a user logs onto the outlook 2003 thier emails gets deleted and we need
to restore them from a backup. Is this a compatibility issue? Or am I
missing a patch?
