Delete Folder in Outlook WIll not open or empty

Delete folder will not open or clear. "Cannot display the folder. Microsoft
Office Outlook cannot access the specified folder location. The messaging
interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart
Outlook. Outlook cannot open this item. The item may be damaged."

Version of Outlook and type of mail account? Do you use a PST? If so, have
you tried repairing it?

With Outlook closed, do a folder/file search for scanpst.exe. You may have
to use the advanced options to search hidden folders/files. When you find
it, double-click it and follow the instructions. This will include browsing
to the location of your PST file so you need to know where you keep it. Let
it run through, if it finds errors and repairs them, then run the scan
again. When it no longer finds errors, try opening Outlook again.
