I am using MS Office 2004 on a G4 iMac with a GB of Ram. I am having a
problem with both Word and Excel. When I open a previously saved
document or now just open up the application I get a message asking me
to delete a font and it systematically goes through every font on my
computer then locks up. I noticed on the progress bar that it wasn't
loading the fonts so I looked at the error report (after force quitting
the app). The report indicated that there was a problem with the
FontCacheTool, so I found this document or app?? and removed it from
the support files for Office. Everything appears to be working well,
but I have no idea what this file does so I'm sure that trouble is
lurking around the corner. I have had other weird issues with Office
2004 especially since I upgraded to Tiger.
Anyone else out there having the same issue?
