Delete Group / Individual

P

PDehner

I am using Outlook 2000 - I used to use Outlook Express
6.
I want to delete an address and have it deleted from the
group too. I could do this is Outlook Express but it
doesn't seem to work with Outlook 2000

Is this true for Outlook 2000 or am I going about it
wrong?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance.

What do you mean by group?
Outlook does not use groups. It uses Distribution Lists.
What mail support mode are you using? (Line 2 of Help | About if you don't
know).

If you click on "Update Now" in the DL, does that not remove the reference
to the non-existent Contact?

Yes, even if I use the update now.
The contact is in my list as an individual then I assign them to a distribution list. I would like to have outlook delete both the individual and the member of the distribution list at the same time. I hav tried both deleting the individual - but they still remain members of the distribution list. If I delete them as a member of the distribution list - they still remain as an indivdual. This worked in Outlook Express but I can't figure out how to make it work in Outlook

Thanks for you assistance

My guess is that it won't work. It should, but very little about DL's work
the way they are supposed to in Outlook, especially if the Contacts were
imported or created in different versions of Outlook from the current one.
