Delete in outlook?

I want to know how to have my outlook configured so that when i push delete
on my keyboard, it will make my item move to my trash and not delete it
forever. Where do those items go when i push delete?

When you press delete, they go to the Deleted items folder. If you press
Shift+Delete they are deleted forever immediately.
