Delete old recurring items

WinXP/Outlook 2003
I have a number of old recurring items like Radio/TV programs which need not
be archived or otherwise saved.
How could these be deleted without deleting the future ones?
Thank you

Go to your calendar and double-click on the item. A
message should pop-up saying:
"'blank' is a recurring appointment. Do you want to open
only this occurence or the series?"
Choose "Open this occurence"
You can then delete the occurence. Anther message will
pop-up saying:
"Do you want to delete all occurences of the recurring
appointment 'blank', or just this one"
Choose "Delete this occurence"
Unfortunately I can't think of a shortcut to getting this
done other than going occurrence by occurence.

Thank you, that's exactly what I was trying to avoid, having to delete these
one by one. Oh well, may be I'll wait for the next upgrade.
