Delete only one link out of many in a navigation bar

I have three rows of links at the top of a page (not top border) in a
navigation bar.
I need to delete the first link labeled [up], but I can either get to the
beginning of all the links, or to the end of all links (like they're all
fastened together). How can I get hold of that one link to delete it?

You will have to change the link bar properties - double click on any
link in the link bar to open the properties sheet, on the General Tab
uncheck the box labelled Parent Page
