Delete Query has no From Value

I am designing a delete query but the drop down menu that says "where"
and "from" will not allow me to change it to from. Do I have a bad
installation of Access, or am I not setting it up right? I used the
wizard to create a select query, then changed it to a delete one.
What did I do wrong? Post something if more info is needed. Thanks

Drag the * down to the grid.
Change to FROM under the *.
Use Where for other field criteria.

Thanks. I did this and it got me closer. But now it says "Cannot
delete from specified table" I looked up the error message, but it is
not read-only, I'm sure. What's wrong now?
