John has pointed you in the right direction but to answer what may be the
question you *didn't* ask: Unlike Windows, Mac OS does not permit deleting
files or folders when working through an application. File management cannot
be handled in the Save As or Open dialogs. You must use Finder to delete,
move or rename files & folders.
