When I copy and paste a footnote reference mark in order to duplicate a
footnote, smart cut and paste brings along a space in front of the footnote
mark. I like smart cut and paste in most instances, just not this one, so I
don't want to turn it off entirely, but I'd rather not have to manually
delete those spaces.
Is there an automatic way to delete a space in front of a footnote mark?
(or some setting I missed to stop this behavior?) Find and Replace lets me
find all instances of a space followed by a footnote mark, but in the
Replace box, the Special menu won't let me select footnote mark, nor
manually enter ^f. I tried to record a macro but it wouldn't let me make
changes to the text in the recording process.
Spell check doesn't flag these extra spaces, either.
