Delete word template

I can delete a document from Word, but I cannot delete a template. Why?

You can.

Go to the folder the template is in (usually "My Templates" - unless
you've placed it in another folder) and drag it to the trash or
Cmd-Backspace.

Hi Peggi:

You cannot delete any kind of document "from Word".

On the Mac, all deletions must be done from the Finder, where, as Matt says,
you can delete anything you like if you have permissions to the folder it is
in in.
