Hello

I wanted to know if Project workspaced can be deleted and leave the project
plans intact. The need is to have one master Workspace site for similar
projects as opposed to multiple workspaces.

Thanks.

Hi Sahid,

Yes, you can delete the workspace without deleting the project plan

Also, you can delete the project plan without deleting the workspace.
Please make sure, your site doesn't have the required items.

I am not sure if that is the best way of deleting a Project Workspace. I
would suggest going to server settings and deleting the workspaces by going
to the Project Workspace page. We saw a lot of cube build errors every time
we directly deleted a site, but keep in mind this was pre SP1. Can anyone
let me know if this has changed?

Thanks,
Dave

Dave,

Both the methods will do the same action. Only the users with delete
permissions can see the delete option when you navigate from Site
Actions.

But I will agree with you. Server Settings option generally accessible
to PWA Administrators only. As a PWA Administrator, you can use Server
Settings to delete the site. This method might be correct way to
delete the site.

Thanks
