Deleted Contacts

I was working in my contact folder and accidentally deleted all of my
contacts that I had marked for holiday cards. The Company Contact folder is
located as a subfolder of the Public folder in the Folder List. The deleted
contacts do ont show up in the dleted items folder. I used a tip I got from
Office Online to edit my registry to allow me to use the restore deleted
items tool on any folder but the items were not there. I am sick. I just
spent a month updated my contact list and managed to deleted 3/4's of the
entries. I use Office 2002 and Exchange Server 2000. Any suggestions

I work by myself and I did not set up the exchange server. I was looking at
the server last night and in the My Computer it has an M Drive which is label
as exchanged. I noted that it has only about 148mb of free space. At one
point it asked me if I wanted to format that drive. I did not and shut
everything down for the evening.
