deleted data still shows in report of 2007 Access database?

can you help? I have been experiencing ghosts in my 2007 Access database.
On occasion, deleted data shows still in certain reports.

Does anyone know how to identify where the conflict is, and how to root out
this problem in the data...and why it is not deleting entirely?

There could be several issues behind this.

Firstly, make sure the report is NOT open when the data is deleted.

Secondly, if the data is from attached tables, make sure the source is the
file you expect. You might be surprised how often ghost data is due to
misunderstanding about which file you are attached to.
