deleted DataKey, still have problems

Hi,

I have a problem with Word hanging up when I use find and replace and
sometimes when I save files. It shows the spinning wheel in the upper right
corner and when I Ctrl + Alt + Del it asks if I want to wait or close the
program. I've tried waiting, but nothing happens, so I close the program.

I've tried deleting the DataKey. That usually solves the problem for a
while. But I've done this seven times over a period of a month and a half.
The problem keeps cropping up.

I could use some help.

It suggests that you either have a third party add-in that is recorrupting
the registry key or that you have some type of third party registry utility
that is 'restoring' the registry.

Hi Tracey,

Is that Word 2007? That sometimes seems to hang when you use Find or
Replace.
Do you really need to use Ctrl+Alt+Del, or can you use the Escape key
instead?
