Deleted Items being purged after 1 weekthough settings say after 60 days

Hi--

for an IMAP account (at .Mac), all emails older than one week in my Deleted Items folder are being purged, even though my account settings in Entourage say "purge after 60 days", and .Mac behavior is set to "after 30 days".
I have no other "purge deleted items" rules set.
I am using Entourage exclusively with this account.

What can I do to get this early purging to stop?

My bad--I had a suspicion, but ignored a suspect:
my _iPhone_ was set (by default, I believe) to delete messages after 1 week. So it was the iPhone doing the purging.
