Deleted Items folder and message bar at top of e-mails

When I move e-mails to my Deleted Items folder they lose the message bar at
the top that tells me if I forwarded/replied to it. It happens randomly,
like one e-mail I delete keeps the message bar while the next will lose it.
How do I fix this so that ALL of my e-mails retain that message bar? Thanks
for your help! Steve

I'm not sure of the answer but I'm honestly curious as to why are you
concerned with items you've deleted?

Why do you care about the message bar on messages in the deleted folder?
It's trash. If the messages are important enough to care if they were
replied to or forwarded, move them to another folder or leave them in the
inbox until you are finished with them.

If you have deleted them, why do you care? Note the icon for the deleted
items folder (a TRASH can).

Because once and awhile I need to verify that I forwarded/replied to an
e-mail. Is the solution to create another folder to store "deleted" messages
in? Are you saying that the OE Deleted Items folder "does crazy things
because it's a trash can"?????

If they're in your Deleted Items folder, why would you care? They're trash.
Do you worry about neatly folding the junk mail you get from the postal
service when you throw it in the wastebasket?

if you need to go back and check it, then you weren't done with it. :) I
have no idea how OE works and I don't really care - outlook is a totally
different email product and handles how messages are marked as forwarded and
replied much differently. Apparently deleting the message removes the
reply/forward flag and that information is lost. Why, I don't know as I
never noticed it doing this because I only delete mail I no longer need.
Messages I reply to usually go into a folder called "completed" so I can
reference them later if the need arises.

I understand, thank you very much for your time to reply. I will start a New
Folder to put the e-mails into, when I am sure I won't need them anymore then
I will move them into the Deleted Items folder. Thanks everyone for your
help!

One thing I don't understand is that I have tested this on other people's
Outlook at our office and it doesn't remove the messagebar from their Deleted
Items, only mine. I bet anything there is a setting somewhere different that
is making mine do this....
