deleted items folder emptying

How do I increase the time period deleted items are kept in my deleted items folder before vanishing?

Open Schedules under Tools in the Menu bar. Edit the "Empty Deleted Items
Folder."

For example, I have mine set like this:

Recurring Every Sunday
Delete all mail older than 5 days

This way I have a week before any mail is deleted. Hope this helps!
