Deleted Status Report but still receiving e-mail reminders

I had set up a test status report and only selected one person for that
report. We confirmed that he was getting the status report request e-mail
just fine. So then I deleted the status report but now that person still
receives the request e-mail on a regular basis. How are we supposed to turn
off the reminders for deleted status report requests but keep them going for
new status reports?
