Deleted Status Report still sending late notifications

The creator of a particular Status report deleted the report, users already
had late status report notices already in their views. Once deleted they are
still receiving late notices and we cannot seem to delete these notices from
their archive list. They would like me to delete the old notices, if they
select an item it issues an error message stating that they no longer have
permission (item is no longer in system).
How can I delete thes previously deleted items from their views?

There are a lot of bugs with Status Reports, I'm seeing this too but haven't
been able to put my finger on what/why. My next way to progress is to delete
records from the DB.

Is there a particular query that I need to run?

Thanks,
Margaret

Does SP1 fix this, we are preparing to apply it soon?

Hi, when I've worked it out I'll post it on my blog. It won't be so much of
a sql script more a manual delete!

Hi there,

How timely, I have the same problem. We are towards the end of our trial and
hoping to go live soon so solution would handy - no pressure now Ben :)

I was suspecting that the problem occurred because when I went to change a
Request to remove a person from the list. I couldn't save until I changed the
from date to today's date (I thought this a bit silly). My assumption was it
didn't actually change the original SR Request but somehow stuffed the old SR
and created a new SR.

Has anyone come up with a method to delete the deleted status reports from
users views. I am not seeing a way for the user to delete them or an
administrative method of deleting the notices that the reports are past due.

Ben - I found the SQL commands that you detalied on your blog at
http://appleparkltd.spaces.live.com...ogview&_c=BlogPart&partqs=amonth=6&ayear=2008

I have already run Step#1 and I have identified those reports that are given
us problems. I am ready to run Step#2 (I have a SQL script already saved and
ready to go to purge those "deleted" status reports. I am just a little
hesitant because I don't want delete any valid status reports or their
responses. I do have a backup of the published database ( we back it up EVERY
night at 3:00 AM), but I would really like to increase my confidence level on
this before I proceed.

Have you run this since you original problem? Do you know if Microsoft is
any closer to resolving this issue? I have an open call with MS project
support for Project Server 2007 - but they did not even know of how to purge
"deleted" status report records...

Please advise...

Thank You Ben!

Ivor
