Deleted Task: Time Machine does not backup Tasks?

It seems that Time Machine does not backup Tasks in Entourage. The tasks
file is in ~/Library/Cache/Entourage/Tasks/ etc. Has anyone else had this
problem?

There are two issues with this:
-when deleting tasks, unlike Office 2007, it does not go into the Deleted
Items, it is permanently deleted.
-Time Machine not backing this up automatically would cause me to lose all
of my tasks in the event of a system failure.

Interesting. I restored that data file and it did not work. My tasks did not
come back. When Time Machine is backing up my email, do I need to do
something specific?

As a general rule you should shut down all Office programs (including Office
Notifications) before any Entourage backups. If the database gets written
during the backup you can either (1) lose some data or (2) have a corrupt
backup file.

Since Time Machine backs up hourly, then the changes are your backups are
corrupt. Use this alternative to the hourly backups for Time Machine.

Alternative method to use Entourage and Time Machine (does a once a day or
whatever time period you select) This quits Entourage and the Microsoft
Database daemon allowing for once a day backup into Time Machine.

I restored the file called "Database" from the \Documents\Microsoft User
Data\Office 2008 Identities\Main Identity. Restoring that file did not bring
back my Tasks. Could it be the "My Day.plist" file or someplace else where
my Tasks are stored?
