Deleted Tasks appear in Project Web --- How do I delete?

I know there must be a way to do this throuogh SQL....

I have been scouring msp_tasks and don't see the field marking the
items as "deleted" tasks. What happened is a project was changed and
the tasks no longer existed when the project was Published again.

How do I get rid of these unseemly items?
