"Deleted" Tasks in Project Server

Hey Gang,

I've moved my first Project File ever into Project Server and I'm working to
get it set up so our team can use PWA for time reporting.

My question: I deleted two tasks in Project Professional, saved,
republished, etc. However, the tasks still show up to user. Albeit with a big
x. I could live with the big x, but when users export the tasks to Excel the
big x disappears and they look like other tasks.

Any way to make deleted tasks stop showing up in PWA?

I found the answer in the Server forum (which I didn't know existed. )
