Deleted tasks still appearing

In project 2002, modifications were made to a live published project plan
where tasks without actuals had been removed and new tasks were added. The
project was published and appears correctly in the Project Center, however
the old tasks still appear in the resource timesheets and the new tasks do
not appear. The old tasks do not have a X next to them, and still appear to
be active on the timesheet.

Is there a reason why these removed tasks would still appear? Also, is
there a workaround?

Hello Sarah,
The resource can't delete a task in the timesheet, but he/she can *hide* it
: click the Hide button in the timesheet tool bar.

I have a similar problem where a user created a task which was not
approved by her manager. When the manager rejected it, the task went
back to the user so now everytime she updates her timesheet, it goes
back to the manager and they volley the rejected task back and forth.
The user cannot delete the task, it tells her that the new task needs
to be approved and updated by the manager. Its an endless cycle, can
anyone help?
