deleted tasks still on Project Server

I have deleted a couple of tasks in a project but they continue to show up
and allow users to report time to them. If I delete a resource from a task
but leave other resources assigned, it shows up in project server with an
'X'. But when I delete the entire task it stays in project server. Has
anyone else ever seen this and can you tell me how to fix it?

Marc,

I used the script to get rid of all the 'X' tasks and it works fine. The
only problem I find is that u have to run it all the time. Is there a script
where you can just run it once so if I do delete any more tasks, I won't have
to run the script again??

You can configure the script to run as a job in SQL server.

That way you don't have to manually run it.
