deleteing pages of unused contact lines

D

DINVEST

I am working with 2002 xp office outlook. I am trying
to set up contacts as my only address book. My problem
is when I imported my old address book to outlook, I have
junk all the place about two pages of partly use lines.
Every time I trie to delete 1, 10 more show up! What
con I do?

Could you explain a bit more clearly what you did and what you see? None of
this makes any sense to me.

Let's see if I can clarify what I wrote yesterday. I am
switching form Lotus 6 to Microsoft Outlook. The only why
we could successfully transfer this data was through
Excell. When it transfered to Outlook it mixed data like
fruit basket upset! I have straightened out the data, but
ended up with extra contacts that are empty or have
partial data. Every time I try to delete them they
multiply! Thanks for replying

Bizarre, but there is lots of room for data corruption here. Are you storing
in a PST or an Exchange Mailbox?

Well for starters, I'd run the Inbox Repair Tool against this PST,
alternating it with a scandisk utility until you receive no error messages.
