deleting a blank column

Wondering if it's possible to have a macro delete a column in a Word table if all cells in the column in question are blank

The table would not contain any spanning or merged cells

Thanks.

Hi Tony,

Perhaps somebody will write a macro for you. But I usually do it without a
macro (since I have hundreds of them, and tend to forget which macro does
what after a couple of days).
You can select the column (with Alt+Click if you aren't using Word2003) and
then search for ^? (= any character).
If you don't find any character, the column will still be selected, and you
can safely delete it (for example with backspace).

Regards,
Klaus
