Deleting a ghost project from the server

I saved a copy of a file locally and accidentally published it to the server.
Now there are 2 entries for this project in the server and PWA; but when I
go to clean up project server database and delete the file that was saved
locally, I get an error message. How do I get the ghost project entry out of
my server and from PWA?

It's a VB Script and says "An error occurred while completing the operation."
