Deleting a section break?

Hi, I've been trying in vain to delete a section break (which is
screwing up the pages), and I am unable to get the cursor actually ON
the double dotted line/section break. I'd like to avoid retyping this
section, but realize I might have to. I have MS Word 2004 for Mac, v
11.1. I'm using OS 10.3.9 on my G3 iBook.

Thank you SO much for your assistance!

Place the insertion point after the last character before the section
break decoration and hit forward delete.
(That's the one on the full keyboard just below the help key.
On a lappy, hold fn while you press delete.)

I'm not even sure that's the official way, but it works here when
ordinary deletes hop right over the break.

Hi Joanne -

Have you tried switching to Normal View, click once on the Section Break,
then press forward del key? If that doesn't do it, what type of section
break are you trying to remove?
