Deleting a Workgroup Information File

What steps must I undergo to eliminate the use of a
workgroup information file? It has been set up for a
database on a local server, and has been more of a pain to
manage than I imagined. I really do not want this anymore
but I am having trouble removing it successfully....people
are getting locked out.

Section 34 in the Security FAQ entitled "desecuring a database" :

Basically, you reinstate all permissions for the Users group and Admin user,
put the Admin user back in the Admin group, and remove the password from the
Admin user.

Additional info.....it is also requiring me to put ina
password for all access db's I open on this server or my
own machine. I have deleted the SystemDb entry in the
registry and tried everything I can think of. I have all
the info and I am the admin, but it doesnt seem to work as
I imagined. I deleted one user from the WIF, but she is
still required to enter a password. Once she is deleted,
she can't logon to her access databases...I think I would
rather have a worm on my PC (I can get rid of those). I
cleared the password for admins, but then I lost my
ability to log into the database and I had to put back the
old secure.mdw file. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I have continued to mess around with this, and have done
the following things, which seem to work (please correct
me if I am wrong).
1.) I restored the database with an old copy taken before
the WIF was created.
2.) I deleted the Secure.mdw file on the server
3.) On my own machine, I deleted the following reg entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER/SOFTWARE/MICROSOFT/OFFICE/10.0/ACCESS/JET
/4.0/ENGINES/SYSTEMDB
4.) I can now open any database on my machine or that
server with full authorities and not be prompted for a
password.
5.) I must check the local machines of a couple of users
who did join my WIF and open the protected database. I
believe they will also have to delete that reg
entry...then we should be all set (I HOPE!).
Thanks for the help though, I will continue to look for
some more info. Anyone attempting to set up WIF's shoudl
defiitely read the docuemtnation 3 times or more (AND
UNDERSTAND IT THOROUGHLY....I thought I did, but I was
wrong), as well as backup your databases before you do
anything.
