deleting an auto-text entry

How can I delete entries from the gallery of auto-text text? My gallery
needs to be edited but I can't get rid of some of the unused or un-needed
entries.

Click the Insert tab.

Choose Quick Parts - Building Blocks Organizer. Click Gallery to sort by
gallery (if desired), then click the entry you want to zap, and click
Delete. Note: you cannot select multiple entries. So, it's a one-at-a-time
task.

Can I assume you're talking about Word 2007?

If so, on the Insert ribbon click the Quick Parts button and choose Building
Blocks Organizer from the dropdown menu. In that dialog, select an entry and
click the Delete button. Repeat for each entry to be deleted -- unfortunately
you can't select more than one at a time.
