Hi,
Just wondering if anyone has any ideas about this one. I'm getting pretty
close to my wits end.
Thanks in advance,
James
Config: Outlook 2002/2003 with Word as Email Editor, RTF format
Problem: Using OOM to delete attachments laves the Word email in a strange
state. This only happens when deleting the attachments in certain code
contexts, like in the MailItem OnWrite event (to prevent sensitive
attachment data from being saved to the exchange server). Behavriour is a
bit different with Outlook Spy and I'm not completely sure why.
Result The attachment is deleted from the Outlook MailItem object but in the
Word editor window, the attachment is still present in the RTF body.
ex: If you try to send/save the message, Word throws up a dialog that says:
"The operation failed."
ex: If you double click on the attachment, Word throws up a dialog that
says: "The object was created in Outlook. The application is not available
to open this object. Make sure the application is properly installed and
that it has not been deleted, moved, or renamed"
