Deleting blank pages from a word document

M

Maurice Evans

There are times when I do print preview that the document
will have anywhere from 2 to ? blank pages complete with
header and page number. How do I get rid of the blank
pages? When I print, if I forget there are blank pages,
it prints all the blank pages with just the header and the
page number.

Where do these pages appear?

Alternatively, you can try the following:

Sometimes if you are working in normal view, the printer
setup (page size, layout) is a little different so it is
not truly WYSIWYG.

Change your view from normal (or whichever view) to print
layout and see if you can see the empty pages there. If
you can, then you will have to check your printers page
configuration. Sometimes the default pages that come
built-in the to printer are slightly out from that setup
in Word.

Also, you might want to check that you have the latest
printer driver for your printer as sometimes similar
issues are resolved with another printer driver.

Hope this helps.

Go to the end of the document and hit the delete key
until the blank pages disappear. Or - hit the P button
to show characters and delete all unwanted characters.
