Deleting Contact and Calendar folders

I have imported old .pst files, and now have contact and calendar folders
that I would like to delete. Some allowed deletion, but others are grayed
out. I am signed on as administrator. How can I get rid of these? Also,
how can I import a .ost Outlook file?

I lost a .pst that was three months old. Now I have recovered from the hard
drive I was using before three months ago. My HP media pc cpu burnt up, I
replaced it with a Dell media PC with Vista. The upgrade to Win 7 blew up,
Dell did not care, even suggested I go out and buy a full version of MS Win7
to use instead of the Win 7 upgrade they sold me. NOT GOING TO SPEND ANOTHER
NICKEL ON MS PRODUCTS! The solution was to re-install Vista, which wiped my
disk, and then upgrade to Win 7. Next computer will be a MAC. I am very
tired of losing my Outlook data.

Importing is never the proper way to move old Outlook data into a new
instance of Outlook. Simply open the PSTs with File>Open>Outlook Data
File. Move things around to suit, then close the old PSTs by
right-clicking their roots and choosing Close.

Those PSTs that have been the delivery location PSTs at some point will
have their default folders marked as undeletable. If you created the
folders manually back when they were being used, then they should be
deletable.

You can't. You'll need a third-party OST to PST converter.
