Hi there!

I have made custom forms (task forms and positng types, in Public Folders).
Now I would like to get rid of some of the redundant fields thatI have made
up. However, Delete buttons are greyed out. Mm... must be a trick somewhere
or hidden well, I looked. Any hints?

Thanks

On the form's All FIelds page, look on the two User-Defined Fields lists. You may need to delete in both places.

Thank you for reply.

I looked there... the lists are empty. I admit I failed to mention perhaps
an important detail. The way I got this form with fields onto this folder is
by doing Copy via right click on Folder, Properties, Forms... copying from
another folder where I store similar info - only few fields needs deleted
and other ones added in their place.. I thought I'd be efficient with this
saving all the time manually adding the rest of the fields and the visual
appearance :). But the downside seems this new folder refuses to acknowledge
these fields as User-definied ones. Hmm... Anything else I could try?

Thanks!

Yes, that's rather an important detail. Copying a custom form to a folder does not copy any field definitions to the folder. If the All Fields lists of custom fields on the form are blank, then you have no obsolete custom fields to delete. You still will need to add the ones that the controls or code on your form uses.
