Deleting default Shape Data (Properties) on all shapes

I have developed a Property Set with customised shape data (custom
properties) that I want to apply to all shapes. I do not however want
to keep the default shape attributes that come with most shapes (Asset
Number, Manufacturer, Location...).

I would like to know how to delete these elements (prefer if global).
I seem to be having difficulty performing this manually (by deleting
Shape Data section in ShapeSheet), as sometimes the default properties
keep coming back.

Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Geoff.

You have a check box in the property set windows that provide "Supress
existing properties".

Do you mean that it does not work in you drawing ? If it is the case, you
probably try to apply to a shape that comes from a Visio stencil and tha
have it's own custom properties.

So it is a little bit ricky but it work's following the underneath operation
:
- Select your shape
- Use the property set windows and choose "Add" and "create a set from
the selected shape" (it create a set that can further be deleted).
- Use the propertyr set window to apply your property set (don't forget
to check "Delete existing property set").

Great isn' it ?
