DELETING DOCUMENT LISTED UNDER "FILE"

I have Microsoft Word 2000 and when I open it up and
complete a document, print it off, I am through with it
but the next time I open it and click on File it is still
listed in the dropdown window. How can I delete the file
name? I have tried everything I know. Thanks F.W. BURKMAN

Being exceedingly careful because accidentally clicking on anything in a
menu will delete it use the following.

Ctl+Alt+- and the cursor changes to a very heavy minus sign. Move it over
the file menu (which will open after a pause) and then down the list to the
file MRU and click on the file you want to delete.
