Deleting extraneous matter when storing emails.

I have Win7 SP1 & Outlook10.

I store various HTML emails from suppliers, though
these come with tons of promotional materials
included.

I want to delete the rubbish yet keep the good
bits, and so I need to selectively delete the
contents.

I can select these but there's no 'delete' or
'cut'.

How can this be done?

Double-click on an e-mail to open in its own window. Then select Edit
-> Edit Message (that's the OL2003 navigation and it's probably
different in OL2010) to modify the message. Then close and save the
modified copy.

Thanks, I got it sorted. One has to open the
email in its window as you say, and then go to the
'actions' arrow at the top ribbon and select 'edit
message'. I then use the Del key to remove the
junk.

About half of these emails are ads.

Some publishers donate information in the hope of
selling something besides. E.g. the sellers of
certain chemicals will email abstracts relevant to
these and include a smorgasbord of ads and sales
links. The abstract info can be valuable and is
easily stored in folders in Outlook10. Deleting
all the junk makes the content readable and saves
space besides.
