Deleting index entries

Hi

Is there any way to remove all automark entries for a word previously
indexed using an index file?

Do I need to go through the document manually?

Find: ^dXE
Replace with:

should do the trick. I'd consider trying this on a copy of your document

Yes. Your search text should be:

^d XE [something]

or

^19 XE [something]

where [something] is the exact text (or beginning of it) of the specific
index entries you want to remove. Note that you must have Hidden text
displayed for this search to work.

Won't that remove all index entries for all words, not just all the
entries for one particular word?

Thanks Geoff, I should think of making a bit more demanding test
documents ...
