deleting labels in Word

I have an old list of address labels, so I have deleted some of them.
However, when I do this, it leaves a blank label rather than moving all the
other labels up to fill in the blanks. I don't want to have to move each
label individually to fill in the holes, but I don't want to waste labels
either. Is there some easy solution to this problem?

"Easy"? No. However, if you keep your info in a format that you merge into
the label template, you'll find that task much easier.
