Word has created a paragraph border, which is why you cannot simply select
the line and delete it. Place your cursor just above the line, then go to
Format>Borders and Shading... and select None.
To deactivate that option, go to Tools>AutoCorrect and uncheck the box that
reads Symbol characters (--) with symbols (‹) under the AutoFormat As You
Type tab.
I typed dashes (-) from one margin to the next, hit enter and it created a
line that I can't delete. How do I delete it? HELP!!!!!
