Deleting messages from your hardrive

Hi,

I would like to know how I can REALLY DELETE messages from my
computer. I am working with Outlook Express with Mac Os 9 and when I
delete messages from the program (from the deleted items folder) it
doesn't reduce the size of the file that saves the messages in the
computer.

How can I make that file update the data about the messages that it
actually has to save?

Hold down the Option key on your keyboard while launching Outlook
Express, and perform a simple rebuild of your message database.
