Deleting messages in a forum ?

I have a forum running on my website www.migo.org.uk I can delete replies to
messages but how do I delete the original posting on the Index page ? If you
go to the forum page there is a posting in ?Chinese and I want to remove it
but how and also at the bottom there are some test posts that I can not
delete ?

Hi Mike,

I think this process will work for the test posts, not sure about the
original post.

Open your website live on the server, now open tocproto.htm (This may need
to be opened in Notepad. Not positive of this). You should now be able to
delete the unwanted posts. Save and recalculate hyperlinks.

You might need to clear your browser cache to view the newly changed page.

Now i dont want to sound stupid but how do I "go live " ??
If I open the remote website I can go into any of the files but I cant seem
to edit them ?

In FP File open site and enter your url as http://www.yoursitename.com
