This is weird. I have posted my problem twice, but it doesn¹t appear in the
newsgroup list even though it is in my Sent Mail folder. I will try again.
My apologies if this is a repeat, but I cannot even find my original email
of a couple of days ago let alone an answer to it.
Entourage 2004 is giving me all sorts of problems, and I probably cannot
remember them all. But here are some:
(1) It is hard to delete messages, and sometimes I cannot make them go away
even trying all the different ways of deleting them. Sometimes if it won¹t
work one way, it will work another. But it is not consistent as to which
method works best all the time, i.e., delete key, delete button, moving
message to deleted folder, contextual delete.
(2) If a manage to delete or move a message, it comes right back to the
Inbox. It is still in the folder where I moved it, but a copy of it
reappears.
(3) SpamSieve will not work to make a valid message go to the Inbox or a
spam message go to Junk Mail.
(4) Mail is hugely delayed in downloading. For example, this is Wednesday,
and when I came to the computer this morning I got a bunch of email from
Monday that didn¹t come to me on Monday.
As I said in my original message, I don¹t know if a database rebuild would
help this, and I didn¹t want to do this without asking because I know it is
a tool to be used sparingly.
