Deleting multiple versions

At the beginning of the fiscal year we saved a new version (.FYPlan) of our
published projects so we could compare them at a various stages throughout
the year. So each project has a .Published and a .FYPlan.

To fix a file corruption problem, with one of our projects, we needed to
delete
it and re-import it. We saved the .Published as a .mpp, then tried to delete
it through the Admin->Cleanup the Project Server Database. When we tried
to delete the .Published version it said we couldn't because there was another
version on the server (.FYPlan). So, we saved the .FYPlan as an .mpp as well.
Then deleted the FYPlan and then the .Published. All worked fine.
We've now re-imported the .Published, published all assignments and the
project
is back on track. We're now trying to put the .FYPlan back. When we put the
..FYPlan back it does not show up in PWA or the Cube. We can access it
with File/Open but just can't see it in PWA or the Cube. We've done the
Collaborate->Publish-> Project Plan and that didn't work either.

Is it possible to restore a different version of a project?

Haven't tried this - but I'd try creating a new version from the .Published
plan first and then overwrite it with the mpp file data (copy paste save -
or perhaps even SaveAs if it works...)

When creating a version of a published plan, a number of "default version"
id pointers are created in the database tables for this version - and if
you import a plan these won't be created.
