Deleting ONE page number

I am trying to delete ONE page number on a Word 2003 document but every time
I do, other page numbers are deleted and I do not know why. Are these pages
somehow connected to one another? I am not the originator of the document
that I am working on and that person is no longer here for me to ask them
about this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Colleen,

If they are numbered with a page field, as I suspect that they are,
then yes they are "connected."

There is a variety of solutions depending on what page number you want
not to appear.
