Deleting or changing managed timesheet periods

We are in the process of configuring MSP Server 2003 and running some test
scenarios, prior to final configuration and deployment

We've set up some managed timesheet periods, but they are not the ones we
want. We can delete or modify some of the periods, but not all of them (the
DELETE button is grayed out). Why are some periods grayed out? I deleted
some of the projects thinking that was the problem (time periods with
timesheets created for certain tasks). Note: the projects were there first.
It was only yesterday that we experimented with entering timesheet periods.

How can we just globally remove the dates and start over again?

Jerry,

It sounds like you have actual hours in those time periods. If this is a
test envir, then go in and delete those actual hours in the timesheet view.
Then you can delete those time periods.

Hope this helps.

Hi Jerry,

I've figured out that one can(not) change time periods depending on their
relation to the current date. You can't change past periods and you can
change future ones.
But if you have access to the project server database you will find there
MSP_WEB_TIME_PERIODS table. Look at it carefully and you will be able to fix
your periods.

Of course this advice is tough, but in test systems good enough.
