First click the Show/Hide button on the toolbar (the ¶ button) and look at
the "empty" page. If you see paragraph marks or page breaks there, delete
them. Then press Shift+F1 and click on the first paragraph after the empty
page. If it mentions "Page break before", go to Format > Paragraph on the
Line And Page Breaks tab and uncheck that box.
If the empty page is the last page of the document, and the page just before
it ends with a table, you won't be able to delete the paragraph mark on the
last page. You can select it and format it to a font size of 1 pt, which
usually lets it go back onto the same page with the table. See the "Blank
paragraph" section of
http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/Formatting/FitCopy.htm.
