deleting paragraphs

hi all

just wondering if any one can help me?

i don't know what to call it so i'll try to explain what i'm looking for.
say i've just written a report and when i've finished i've discovered i
wrote a page of things i didn't need and left out the one i did, can i delete
every thing on that page by using any other method than back space or the
mouse and back space? is there a keyboard short cut i could use? or is the
only methods the ones i've already mentioned.?

does this make sense to any one? if it does please help me!

You can select the paragraphs and press Delete.
